In food production "forming" means giving a shape to paste-like products that can be formed. Typical shapes are meatballs/dumplings, disc-shaped products (for example burgers, cheese slices) and stick or roll-shaped products (such as cevapcici, bread) with various thicknesses. There are numerous local products worldwide that are also identified by their free shapes and which do not fit into this pattern (for example kibe, spätzle, etc.). Different production processes and machines are used depending on the desired shape (see also Applications - shapes). |
